This system, specially designed for recycling off-spec rolls and bales, features a Herbold HB Series force-fed (hydraulic ram) granulator and guillotine station. 

 

Custom controls allow users to cut straight through rolls stopping when they reach the core.  Once the core is removed, the blade makes a second cut through the bottom half of the roll.  Segmenting the roll into smaller sheets allows the film to be placed on a conveyor for delivery to the granulator feed hopper.  Once in the feed hopper, the hydraulic ram forces it into the cutting chamber.  This method is faster and offers higher quality grind than feeding material from the roll.
